Kids in Thailand love shaved ice, which is sold by vendors on the street!
You can make shaved ice in a blender or you can buy an ice shaver (either electric or hand-crank). Syrups from Thailand (see right) are available at Asian markets in flavors like strawberry, cherry, vanilla cream, and jasmine.
In Thailand, they also pour condensed milk over shaved ice, so you can try that if you like or you can use half and half (or cream) if you prefer! However you make it, Shaved Ice is a cool treat!
